POLICIES

MADE TO ORDER

Most of our products are made as your order is placed with us. Beacuse of this, we are happy to offer customizable options on most of our in-house designs. See something you'd like to make your own? Please take a look in our SHOP for more information.

FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED

Because our products are made to order, lead times may fluctuate, particularly during the busy holiday seasons. All orders are completed in the order that we receive them. To stay true to our process and our customers, we will not accomodate rush orders that wish to jump the line. Please allow plenty of time for your product to be completed and shipped. We would hate for your order to miss an important occasion! Contact us HERE to find out about current wait times on any product.

Thank you in advance for your understanding and respect of our process.

RETURNS/EXCHANGES

Sales on all made-to-order and custom products are final. In the case of a faulty or broken part, please contact us immediately. Returns or exchanges on these items will be accepted up to 7 days after you received the items. Please note that they MUST BE postmarked within that time frame. All returns must be sent with a delivery confirmation number to qualify for a refund or replacement.

Natural wear and tear, acts of nature, change in taste, and damage caused by improper use or care of your product will not make your product a candidate for exchange or return. If you have questions regarding the wear and/or care of your product, please contact us HERE and we'll be happy to answer any questions you may have. Your satisfaction is very importnant to us!

SHIPPING

Domestic orders are shipped via USPS. We include shipping insurance at no extra charge on orders of $150 and above (excluding shipping costs). Shipping insurance on orders under $150 may be included at customer's request. To include shipping insurance on orders under $150, please include a note at checkout and we will be happy to email an invoice for the balance. Please note that the order will not be shipped until the balance is received.

Orders placed without shipping insurance will not be eligible for return, repair, or exchange should they be lost, damaged, or stolen while in the possession of USPS.

International orders are shipped via UPS, which includes shipping insurance.

CUSTOM WORK

We always offer a free initial consultation on all custom orders. A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the quoted price is required before work will commence. We will notify you upon completion of the product, at which point the remaining 50% will be required before shipment.

We offer a thirty day grace period on payment of the remaining 50%. If we have not received a response or payment of the balance after thirty days, we will consider the order forfeited, and we will retain the 50% deposit. Should this occur, all rights to the design will be retained by Longship Leather, and it may, at our discretion, be available for resale at a later date.

FREE CONSULTATION

Our free consultation involves the discussion of a product idea or concept. This includes the materials desired, the timeline for completion, and our customer's target completion window. The completion of your custom piece may take as little as one week, or upward of six or more, depending on its complexity, the time of year and product demand. Please inquire about lead times when you contact us to make sure you'll receive your item before any important dates or deadlines.

After the consultation phase, the design process will not be initiated until you have approved all aspects of the design, and the deposit has been received. The design process includes all sketches, material sourcing and ordering (if special or custom), production, and all correspondence regarding progress, questions, and/or approval.

Along with an invoice for the 50% deposit, we will send you a detailed outline of the work to be completed, including materials, dimensions, and function. By paying the 50% deposit, you agree that the quoted price is a reflection of the work listed in the outline, and that all significant changes moving forward may be subject to added costs and/or time.
